Awesome build! Question, hopefully not a dumb one, why wash it with tide before wet sanding?

the truck sat up for 6 months, had green mildew/mold all over, so I washed it down with tide, then wet sanded, washed again... just wanted any and all dirt/grime build up gone

finally got pushrods woohoo!!!, they are hardened, + restricted, gonna finalize the install of the studs, guide plates, pushrods and rockers+adjusting this weekend...

Ok for real this time lol spring has sprung finally in the mountains, finally back working on my ride, sorry for the long delay, iiwii, hope all is well with all y'all

pulled out the truck, sanded and cleaned the front and rear window areas where the seal goes, getting ready for the glass to be put in so it will be dried in. have the driver door on the sawhorses to sand to bare metal to be primed. headed to broke mans paradise(HF) to get pressure washer to clean up any pollen, trash etc. from sitting outside over the winter, and engine hoist to put the engine/transmission together and get them in. will post pics probably tomorrow or next day.hope all you guys are taking advantage of spring and getting your projects worked on, hope all is well!!

pretty crummy inside and out, pressure washed the outside, and inside of cab and bed. taking front clip off tomorrow to pressure wash the engine bay.

you know who didn't have an engine hoist in my store, gonna get it online for same price no shipping

anyone here ever used, or tried to use a Lokar ACA-1804. steering column cable shift conversion kit, or something similar?

dug more parts out today, some need paint, some already painted... pressure washed them all

pulled out the tranny, waiting to get blue loctite tomorrow so I can torque down the rocker arm studs, and the flex plate bolts... making progress

painted some under dash brackets, gas pedal, transmission linkage, wiper transmission

cleaned up the steering column, will paint tomorrow

cost to replace front windshield with tint, and with just black rubber, installed 240.00
hope to get that done in the next week or so, that will allow me to get the dash and wiring harness installed
