Are duel tanks interchangeable?

A guy i know who wrecked an 87 Silverado with duel tanks. He's parting out the truck. The drivers side tank is badly damaged but the passenger side looked fine. I have a drivers side single tank and I'm looking for a replacement. My question is are these tanks interchangeable side to side?

Thanks

Yes,they are!
There is a left and right sending unit, but just the lines point opposite, and will still work.

is this a TBI truck? I'd like to buy the fuel pump wire harness (switch valve to pumps - both of them) if you can get it.

Re: Are duel tanks interchangeable?

I know some tanks are not and some are I got a 84 left side only tank put in a 77 right side. because a freind put the a hoist arm under the tank crushed it.
The 84 was not, I had the make up some rubber line for the sending uint pointed the wrong way. Too use it. I mostly depens on the sending unit flange welded to the tank top.
