Rear End Clearance
What is the minimum clearance you can have between the frame and top of rear end on a 68 C10? I have about 3" now and want to lower it another 1-1/2". Do I need to go ahead and do a C notch kit?

Re: Rear End Clearance
I'd say yes, because if you haul anything with any weight you'll be out of travel and be bottoming out .

Re: Rear End Clearance
I flipped the leaf spring rear in my 69 and it dropped it just over 7". I have about 1 1/2" between axle housing and frame. I put the 3/8" thick urethane "pad" on the frame above the housing and I removed the factory bump stop steel pads on the housing.
I have no problem loading several hundred pounds in the bed, but it does hit the bump stops on big bumps.

Re: Rear End Clearance
Thanks for information. I'm gonna have about the same amount of clearance. Where did you get the pads for the frame?

Re: Rear End Clearance
They came with the DJM kit. They are a urethane puck with a 1/4" stud on the back.
