Plastic vs. original duct hose
Has anybody used the repro plastic AC/defroster duct hoses offered by LMC and Classic Industries? The original cloth ones in my truck have disintegrated and it seems like the plastic ones might hold up better. They're also a little cheaper than the original type...

I have them in the Longhorn also, and they do seem like they will hold up a long time, however, they are not as flexable and were a bit tougher to route. (non A/C...an A/C set up would be a total b!tch)

trouble bending the plastic hoses?? just use a hairdryer to warm them up, just don't get carried away with the heat. just heat them up and work pretty fast while they're still hot and once installed and they cool down they'll retain the bends

Don't want to bust anyones bubble but I just put all new OEM hoses in my Blazer with AC . someone had already replace 2 hoses with the plastic and they decentergrated in my hands don't know how old they were but newer than the originals that were coming apart. Nothingis built to last I guess
