Vent window size
Quick question everyone. I'm working on a 79 c10 stepside. Driver door vent glass is missing but frame is there. I got a glass from a 73 truck and the glass doesn't fit. My understanding is that 73-80 glass is the same and 81-87 is the same. Anyone have measurements of the glass differences. Could the frame or door be from a newer truck. There was a vent wing nut/lock with a push button in the truck. I believe those came in 80-87 glass?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

They are not the same, the vent windows are from 73-79, 80-87. So somewhere in there between 79 & 80, some of the trucks would have gotten one or the other, during the model change over.
So your 79, more than likely has the 80 glass, because of the change over. And since you got a glass from a 73, it will not fit.
