1966 gmc fuel gauge problems
66 gmc truck i am having problems related to the brown wire that goes to the fuse panel i guess thats were it goes. but anyway i have ohm resistance at the fuel sending unit but the brown wire is disconnected up around the fuse panel. hoping someone can tell me were the wire goes. also i removed the fuel gauge from the instrument panel it goes to empty when i install it it goes to full but what i have found is that that indicates a broken wire

Remove gauge cluster far enough to see back of fuel gauge--do you see 2 receptacles with 1 'empty'?
