Shifter Placement

I went to the Scarecrow Car Show in Madison today- lots of our trucks there! Also found out there is a Mississippi C10 Club!
Question I have is this: I was planing on using an NV4500 w/ a bench seat from my '94 2500. But I also want to run an under dash a/c unit. I saw one truck with underdash a/c today & from the a/c unit to the front of the seat was 10" or less. I don't think the shifter will throw in that space. Any Yall using this combo in your truck?
Thanks

Re: Shifter Placement

It looks like the NV4500 shifter sits about 5 inches back from the SM465 shifter position.

This thread was for 67-72 truck but have some great info.
