How many quarts does a 350 hold?

depends on the pan, most are 5 qts with filter.

The three I've worked with - the one in my '70 GMC, the LT1 in our '94 Camaro Z28, and the Vortec in my mom's '97 Suburban, all use 5 quarts with a filter. I think if they crammed a 5qt pan in the Z28, you're not going to find a 350 anywhere that uses a drop less than five quarts...
And then Mercedes-Benz has the nerve to make their 3.2L straight six use like seven and a half quarts or some weird number. =P

More than that, actually. But they're bigger than a 3.2L gas six. (Darn good engine, though. That thing scoots for a big 4 door...)
IIRC, my friend with a new Powerstroke said it uses over 20 quarts a change! That's just obscene...I don't think anyone could afford to go synthetic on that...

You can usually find fluid capacities in your owners manual.Then its right there in Black & White so you can win your arguement without any doubt.
