Adding cab trim
Anyone gone through the trouble in adding the cab trim for the two tone white top look?

I just use screws for the molding hangers...

Yeah, I don't think you'd want to duplicate the spot welded posts. Just be sure to put sealer on the screws when you put them in.

When I started in the body shop biz back in 1980 there were still a lot of 60's and 70's GM cars and trucks coming through the shop.When we bought replacement trim from GM they would come with the nylon retaining clips and some tiny #1 Phillips screws that had a shoulder that would hold the clips without over tightening them. You could even snap the retaining clip on and off after installation just like the welded studs. It would be great to find a supplier of those now.Made installation a snap.

You can also use the stud gun (dent puller) to weld the retaining tabs on.

I saw/read that someone would use plastidip on the screw threads before screwing into the sheet metal for trim to prevent rust.
