vacumm fitting on rear of 4.8 intake
is the vacuum fitting for the brake booster on the rear of the intake on a 4.8 removable? I'm having P0171 and P0174 issues and the brakes don't seem to be consistent. It is loose where the booster hose goes on, and turns but doesn't get any tighter or looser. What's the deal?

That connection is normally a loose fit . It will turn and push in and out some but will still seal . If you want to take it off push in on the fitting and then depress the red tab and then pull it off .
I would think your issues are else where . |

More then like the intake gaskets are leaking thats what normally causes those code come up together

Re: vacumm fitting on rear of 4.8 intake
That' s a thought, but I just replaced them with the gaskets they recommend, so I hope that is not it. I just get the faults sporadically so I was thinking it had something to do with the check valve on the booster or something like that.
