Re: Truck Step or Nerf Bar

Just my humble opinion, but I would go for the step rather than nerf bars. I've seen so many rusted out rotten nerf bars its pitiful. I know some are made better than others but I would never put a set on my vehicle.

Re: Truck Step or Nerf Bar

"Nerf bar?" Why would anyone want to nerf their truck? Wouldn't you want to buff your truck?

Can you tell I have been watching "World of Tanks" replies by Jingles on youtube this morning?

I got them off Amazon a few years ago.

Now that I see that picture posted it's not very good. I will try to find or take a better one if you are interested. They work for me, and I like the chrome

I use the same bars. I believe they also come in black, but I'm not positive. The stainless are pretty nice though.

Not sure about the rusted on stainless. But let me tell about my feelings on the hoop stirrups. Besides what I said about rocker. Your female passenger may have trouble with the hoop stirrups. I've had them before and the wife was forever trying to figure what foot to put in the damned thing. I had to train her. Using a long step is better for her. I still see her stepping on it with BOTH feet before she gets in the truck, .... go figure! I also added all the grab handles for her benefit or any other passenger, since the truck is lifted. So, the driving factor was mostly is for convenience, not much to do with off roading or looks, but I like how they look too.

I didn't respond because you don't like the nerf, I just wanted to chime in on why I didn't go with a stirrup type hoop.

Something for people to consider! Keep on truckin' !

BrianG, just curious, what kind of lift does your truck have? Also, what size are your tires? Your truck looks great.

Hey thanks! I have a Skykacker 4” Softtide lift and one inch zero-rate all the way around. The tires are 33x12.50 on 15 inch rims
