Transmission only works in reverse

Got a 1975 Blazer. Had the tranny rebuilt 3 years ago and worked great until yesterday morning. Pulls great in reverse. No forward gears work. Had no warning signs. Truck drove great prior to the issue. Fluid level looks good. Anything I’m missing?

Yea. First, second, and third.

Apologies, I just couldn't resist.

For one, check the fluid level. If low, find out where it went....1 possibility is the t-case input seals and of course another is an external leak. Fluid level good, still no forward gears, call whoever rebuilt the unit and ask them what's up

Re: Transmission only works in reverse

My son's K5 did this one morning. Cranked her up, popped into reverse, backed up & no go forward.
The Z Link had popped off the lever to the shift spool inside the trans.
I'm sure they way he jerked stuff around had something to do with it.
