Re: Ignition switch turning
My 67 has a notch in the dash for proper alignment of the switch, keeps it from turning after you tighten the bezel.

Re: Ignition switch turning
Does the cylinder need to be removed first? Do I need a special tool to turn?

Re: Ignition switch turning
There is a tang on the switch that lodges in a slot in the edge of the hole that the switch mounts in. It is possible that that tang has worn off, if the switch has been loose for some amount of time. If it is still there, the escutcheon nut will tighten up nicely if the tang is in that slot. There is a spanner made for tightening the nut, but you can use a fabricated one for it. The spanner fits the three indentations on the escutcheon nut.
