Front wheelwells

I have searched already and didn't find any definate answers so here goes... I have heard that 73-80 front inner fenders will almost bolt in to a 81 up and are much bigger. Any truth to this? Has anybody done it?

Re: Front wheelwells

Did the reverse on the passenger side, 81 up inner on a 75 outer(yard sold me the wrong one). Most of the holes match. Had to drill one or two(years ago, don't remember which ones). Battery box bolt hole doesn't match, lower in front on the 81+. Guess you would have the flip problem in your case, battery bolt hole too high.

Re: Front wheelwells

I tried fitting an early one into my 85 K30. All of the holes along the front were wrong as well as the holes under the cab floor. The ones along the fender lip mostly lined up. The biggest problem was the steering box. I ended up just getting the correct one.
