We finished the trailing arms. Waiting for a package from Ridetech and we can finish up the rear.

Re: 70 c10 build

The design/build of the center cross member was also started this weekend. Also sat a 350 on her for the first time to pull some measurements. I really stoked how everything is coming out. Ill keep updating as I get a chance.

It looks like its coming right along. What wall thickness are you using for your cross member?

I'd say everything is pretty square and level.

Re: 70 c10 build

Coming along nicely. I like those trailing arms. How much of a drop is built into them?

Re: 70 c10 build

The front is 5" the rear is 7" but it is set up, if I wanted to, to bag it and lay frame. I'm going to stay with the coil overs though. Put that extra money in the motor !

Re: 70 c10 build

Here's the latest guys. Finished mounting rear shocks. It took a while to gather up the material and tooling needed to make the stainless top mounts, but they turned out great. Then it was tore down again to finish welding and grinding. Hopefully the next couple weekends it is ready to spray.
