Bodywork and fender flare progress
Front end is getting close. It's nice to get a coat of primer on it to see what you got. Sorry my phone does not take a great picture.

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
I attached steel mesh and wrapped it around the edge. Old fashioned bodywork. It's getting black pearl and put the chrome bumpers back on and thats it.

That's looking really good! I like the style of your truck.
I saw this truck on facebook and thought you'd appreciate it.

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
Yea I'm just using Duplicolor cans. Black Sand Pearl, it's actually a Toyota color, but its covering nice. I want more of a semi gloss finish with that metallic sheen in it. I want that old school hot rod black with character. Yours would look great in satin black. You cant go wrong with black and chrome.

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
Well, glad that's over!
Still planning to black out the interior but working on closing in the bed now to get it inspected. It will eventually be all aluminum diamond plate. |

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
I’m not usually a fan of body mods on these trucks, but man I like how that turned out!

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
^^ Thanks guys! I wish it was all metal, but whoever restored it previously covered it in bondo, so I just added some more. I also don't have the means/equipment/$$$ to roll steel into that shape. But yea, its a subtle change and I'm very happy with how it came out.

Re: Bodywork and fender flare progress
It would look more badass if you left it stock. I think it looks cheesy but its your truck and your time. Good luck.
