Cool 79-K10 w/84-C10 Cab

Summer project coming up.
I have a 79 K10 with a bad cab. (rot) 4 spd creeper.
I have an 84-C10 with a good cab. 6 cyl, 3 on the column.

Will the 84 cab fit right onto the 79 frame ?

I'll want to use the front clip from the 79 style so the hood will mount to the fenders instead of the way the 84 also mounts to the cab.
Looks like either fender will mount up OK ?

I guess I'll need to cut out for the higher hump for the transmission.
Anything else to be aware of ?

Thanks.

It'll fit right on the frame just make sure to match the body bushings to the frame. I believe you'll have to use the 79 wiper posts, the 81-87 are taller and the hood will hit.

If you look at my thread " rebuilding my 1977 plow truck" I pretty much cover everything to do this swap.

Very nice tutorial there on that plow truck.
A job well done !
The fender mounting issue is one wasn't aware of ... thanks for that !

Filling the cowl hole is another goodie I hadn't planned on.

I bookmarked that thread for future reference.
After reading it, I feel as though I've already done one.
Thanks

just a reminder that the center hump is not interchangeable between the 2 cabs. you will need a center hump from a 81-87 4 whl truck
