SWB bed only, worth?

My SWB bed is rough on the drivers bedside, it will need replacement.

A complete short fleet bed popped for sale locally and I am going to see it tomorrow.

What is a general range of worth? Everything is depending on condition, rust is typically free.. Is a complete short bed $500-$2500 these days?

I imagine even a complete one in real poor condition is $500 minimum? Decent used bedsides seem to start at $500 lately..

A local guy has a short bed trailer with a tailgate painted perfect, which he tows behind his show truck, he wants $2500 (maybe more) for the setup.

Opinions?

minimum 2500 minus gate to build one
so 2500 for the trailer is not out of line-sell yours for 1k

Well, bed was not in good enough condition for me.

$1K, and the lower bed side edges were rolled in from moving it around, floor and one well had rust from an aftermarket fuel tank, hole cut in the bedside for the fuel neck, etc. Could have been original paint though, I was overall surprised by how good of shape it was in, fasteners were clean, minimal undercarriage rust, not much bondo.

Real nice guy, he did have a SWEET set of fenders and a header panel I was happy to take off his hands for a great price.

Worth the trip to look!!

I saw that one, this local one was in MUCH better shape, from the pictures...
