"Old" is 90% a frame of mind!
My only regret is I didn't know "then" what I know now.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
as you all may have been able to tell, I love all of God's creatures, and not just the tasty ones
Mrs. Bee came home with a 3.5gal fish tank last week and a couple of female Bettas, one for each of the kids.. well, it didn't work out quite so well for one of them, the other bullied it and she passed.. burial at sea services followed.. so I suggested a 10gal tank, heater, and stuff and some Mollies or similar.. so she bought one and we have three Mollies and the surviving female Betta.. all thriving and swimming around actively, eating well, loving life! Sonar Sprinkles Radar Turtle gotta love the names kids come up with so I took the 3.5gal to work for my desk and got myself a little male to hang out with me in my office his name is Hank and he's quite a character..

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That girl put on the seatbelt before adjusting the seat. Seatbelts were bolted to the floor so she can't adjust the seat without binding.
Nice fish B hope it does well.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Quote:
My dad had a '62 Land Rover that we were driving down Blue Ridge Parkway with a loaded trailer in tow. Stopped on an uphill, went to pull out, wheels spinning, then one gets on pvement, grabs, and POW!!... snapped axle shaft. Out 4-wheeling at the quarry pits one Friday night. Big crowd there, my first time. I guess we were trespassing because someone hollered "the Cops!" and next thing you knew everybody was in their rigs heading out. The entrance was plugged up with people squeezing out. So I climbed the bank to the road and when my left front hit the pavement "BOOM!!" busted the axle u-joint and mangled the stub shaft yokes.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Cardboard structures are great. I have built forts houses gas stations etc for the kids and grandkids for years but only if they participate.
It's good way to show kids how to create something out of nothing, and it sure beats videos.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
lol, my kids love TAPE! so much that I should probably buy stock in 3M..
I enjoy showing them how to build pillow forts, blanket tents, cardboard bunkers, etc. and they spend hours in them imagining all sorts of wild things are happening.. today, daddy monster got all shot up, and that mega Nerf shoots like 90 feet so close range can sting a little

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My older son and his friend took a bunch of my duct tape, foam sill sealer, and various objects to make armor and battle weapons. I come home to gladiators in foam armor battling to the death. They made some amazing weapons like broad axes, a cat of nine tails type of thing, clubs, etc. It was funny as heck. I guess they got tired of playing video games

Re: My Facetruck thread.
An older woman gets pulled over for speeding
Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer? Traffic Cop: Yes ma'am, I'm afraid you were speeding. Older Woman: Oh, I see. Traffic Cop: Can I see your license please? Older Woman: Well, I would give it to you but I don't have one. Traffic Cop: Don't have one? Older Woman: No. I lost it 4 years ago for drunk driving. Traffic Cop: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please. Older Woman: I can't do that. Traffic Cop: Why not? Older Woman: I stole this car. Traffic Cop: Stole it? Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner. Traffic Cop: You what!? Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see. The traffic cop looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car while calling for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun. Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please! The woman steps out of her vehicle. Older woman: Is there a problem sir? Officer 2: My colleague here tells me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner. Older Woman: Murdered the owner? Are you serious?! Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please. The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk. Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am? Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The traffic cop is quite stunned. Officer 2: My colleague claims that you do not have a driving license. The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer. The officer examines the license quizzically. Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, but I am puzzled, as I was told by my officer here that you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner! Older Woman: I'll Bet he told you I was speeding, too.
