I have a nice black 74 Non A/C Dash Bezel and was wondering if I could just cut that cubby hole off where that A/C vent goes above the A/C Controls and make it where it would hold my vent?

It wouldn't be quite that easy. The A/C vent assembly fastens to the backside of the bezel with screws. You would have to find another way to attach the vent.
