Almost
I loaded up the ramp truck yesterday with my 2 Schwinn chopper bikes and 1 pedal car to take to the Greenville SC Car's & Coffee this morning. It didn't make it but I got it back home and drove the 71 instead.
When we got back home I looked at everything under the hood and the only thing I could figure was the HeI was still running on the factory resistor wire. Sure enough after pulling the harness out and unwrapping it I found what I had thought. Stripped it out to the fuse block and re wired it to the HEI and it is running nice now. Maybe next month it will make it.

Re: Almost
Good find. Mine was like that and ran fine for the first few months. Then I rewired it like this.

That's what I did except I cut the resistor wire off at the connection and tied into it. Took this on the way over before I turned around-.

Those look good man!
I had the pedal car built for my dad's 56! The pedal car is from Speedway motors for $169.00

Re: Almost
Ok winch batteries are wired into the truck battery and charging. I put a contactor in line with the + cable to turn it on/off with from the dash. Lighted switch on dash lets me know when it's on are off.
May put a 50amp fuse in line with it also.
