1970 SWB Chevy Project - Nearly Rust Free

1970 SWB Chevy Project - $5,000 (I will take partial trades)

I purchased this truck and the parts for it over the last 12 months. My 67 is heading to the paint shop soon and I don’t want to raid the bank account again. Everything is here to put this thing together. I have about $8,000 in parts here but I'm not going to part this out just yet. If anyone is interested, I can send pics.

Body Parts
Rust Free Cab – except for one rocker – have NOS rocker - the old rocker has been removed (this is an excellent cab)
Rust free doors with no holes
Inner & outer fenders (set of NOS inner & outer – & set of original outer)
Rust free bed (steel floor - NO HOLES)
1970 inner & outer grill in excellent condition
Hood in excellent condition
Cowl in excellent condition

The Frame (completely rebuilt)
Frame has been blasted, painted & rebuilt
2.5” early classic drop spindles
new coils
sway bar
new brakes
new disks upfront
stainless steel brake lines
5 lug – steel wheels

Interior
Vintage AC system w/ Chrome compressor (new – never installed)
Rebuilt Tilt Column with new chrome parts & all the hardware
New tac/vac dash
All new Interior parts (everything to rebuild cab – in black)
All new weather stripping
All new chrome for weatherstripping
Two additional dash clusters (no tac or vac)
Two sets of cab wires & fuse boxes
All good glass (two sets of some)
New cab chrome & door handles

Engine, etc
1997 Crate engine – 76cc heads – 4 bolt main – edelbrock intake & carb

By the way, I also have a 1970 GMC that I'll throw in to sweeten the pot. It's nearly rust free as well.

I'll post pictures tonight.

If you're asking what I'll trade for, it really depends. What do you have? Please email me on the subject

ijenkins@restronic.com

Also, Keep in mind that I'm only looking for partial trades. I need a decent amount of money for this paint job.

I went through my records & receipts last night. It seems I have nearly $8,000.00 invested. Ugh! Still, I'd like to get rid of this stuff.

Thanks for waiting.

Thank you all for waiting.

I’ve also included pictures of the GMC truck that has the 1997 crate engine in it. You can have the entire GMC truck or I can pull the engine for you. You can listen to the engine run in the GMC if you wish. Also, the GMC is a nearly rust free Alabama truck.

The cab of the project truck has surface rust only. It comes off with light (very light) sanding. The bed of the truck has rust and some filler but not enough to make it a complicated restoration. As you can see by the pictures, the rocker panel has been removed and I have a NOS panel ready to go on.

The following equipment is also included but I haven’t sent pictures because everything is boxed up. You have my guarantee that this stuff is NEW.

The following equipment is also included but I haven’t sent pictures because everything is boxed up. You have my guarantee that this stuff is NEW.

ALL NEW:
VINTAGE AC SYSTEM w/ Chrome Compressor (purchased new 6 months ago)
Carpet
Dash pad
Door Panel & handle
Outer Door Handles
Headliner
Headliner trim
Rear View Mirror
Sun Visor Bracket
Gauge cluster
Seat cover
Three point restraint seat belts
Shift levers
Chrome Windshield trim
New gaskets and window kits
And many smaller parts too
As I said, everything you need to put the interior back in black
Tilt column (rebuilt) – quality job by a known company
Stainless Steel Brake Lines

I also have:
Two sets of door glass
Two sets of doors
two sets of door interior hardware
Windshield
Rear Window
Front bumper
Two sets of wiring harnesses
Two battery trays
Two sets of hood latches
Bench Seat
NOS inner Fenders
2 drivers side outer fenders (both are flawless)
2 passenger side outer fenders (one is NOS the other is flawless)
Hood (flawless)
Cowl (Flawless)
1970 Inner & Outer Grill (great condition but now a show grill)

What I know I don’t have:
Radiator Core Support
Wiring for the front & rear lights
Engine Wiring Kit
Transmission

What I paid:
GMC w/ 1997 Crate engine $600.00
Rust Free Chevy SWB project truck with CAB & Fenders $2,500.00
SWB Box $900.00 + delivery cost
Tac / Vac gauges $350
Tilt $350
Chevy Parts Truck $1,000.00 (extra fenders, hood, cowl, parts)
Interior Parts $1,100.00
Vintage AC $1,200.00

Total $8,000.00 - and that doesn’t include the odds & ends stuff I didn’t write down.

Also, when I disassembled things I bagged the parts and labeled them.
