70 C20 w/auto trans Rolls When in Park
Truck rolls despite being in park. Even slightest incline/decline. Where do I start troubleshooting?
Just bought truck, rough shape, presently focused on getting it running and driving safely. One of many issues is that it rolls even on the slightest incline/decline despite being in "park." Emergency brake needs help too, but that's for another thread. Thanks |

The linkage may just be out of adjustment. See if you can loosen it and rotate the crank on the trans a little further to lock it up. If not, the trans has to come apart to fix this.

You might have to take the transmission pan off. I've seen the park linkage retainer bolts come off a couple times.
