Th350 transmission seal/gasket picture diagram??

Hello.

Is there a picture diagram mapping the areas where the seals and gaskets are located in a TH350? I was quoted $700 for a complete reseal and maybe doing it myself would be best. I have a Chilton, but not very detailed on showing a picture diagram on where each seal and gaskets are located. How many seals and gaskets does a TH350 have?
Anyone?

Re: Th350 transmission seal/gasket picture diagram??

Wow, $700 is crazy

The pump seal and the torque converter seal require removal of the transmission. If the torque converter seal is leaking the bushing behind it is usually worn out. These two are easy to inspect to see if they are leaking. The pump o-ring rarely ever leaks.

On the left side of the transmission you have the shift shaft seal and the speedometers bullet seals. Both are common sources of leaks. The shift shaft seal is easily replaced using a special tool. The shift shaft likes to leak after the vehicle has been sitting (overnight)

On the passenger side is the dipstick tube seal and the kickdown cable seal. Oh yea, the 2-3 accumulator cover o-ring which I have never seen leak.

Plus the pan gasket.
