where does one mount the fuel regulator
I'm using a Holley sniper efi intake with the holley rails
aeromotive pump has three ports 1 oulet 2 vent 3 return aeromotive filter in between pump and rails also where do I put the return line. I made a visual for where I'm at. a lot easier for me to understand than reading others threads and builds. appreciate the help |

Return or returnless fuel system
Return still No Y fitting at the rail, the other end of the rail goes to regulator and then to tank. Returnless If your doing a returnless like you have pictured, the regulator goes after the filter before the rail.

would you recommend the corvette pump with the built in regulator how restrictive is it? if boost is in the works

I'm confused... the Holley Sniper has a built in fuel regulator. You CAN set up your own regulated system and just supply it with 58psi but why bother? Just give it raw pump pressure and it has a full internal regulator to deal with it.
Here's mine, one line in and one line out. 3/8 line from pump to Sniper, 3/8 return to tank. No regulators, no Ts, no rails, no nothing. Easy peasy. The hardest part (and the only hard part, really) is running the return line from throttle body back to tank. If you can swing that part, you're golden. I went all stainless hard line and for the little 4" flex sections I used stainless PTFE lined hose, so there's not an inch of rubber in the entire fuel system! Your other option is to have the pump feed into the GM regulator/filter you're talking about. Then it has a return line back to the tank also, and the output is 58psi that you run right to the throttle body with no return, capping off the return port. Make sense? I just did this so ask away... there are no dumb questions.

you've got the aeromotive pump..you wont need a holley pump...
just use a vet filter/reg in line

If your running "boost" as you mentioned you might, its not a bad idea to run a EFI bypass regulator with a vacuum/boost reference 1:1 ratio, so if need be you can increase fuel pressure with boost. Regulators should go after the fuel rail back to the return port of tank.

thanks for the help and correct I am running the sniper intake. went ahead and ordered -8 hoses and connectors will post pictures up next weekend installed. thanks for the replies

OK, that makes sense. When faced with that setup, here's what I wound up doing.
In this case I ran it as follows: - Pump to Y block splitter - Each split to back of fuel rail - From front of each rail to regulator - Regulator to tank That's the highest flowing setup you can do, I believe. I did that for my high horsepower setup but you don't have to be that elaborate for a 300hp crate engine, for example! I've never run the GM integral filter-regulator setup, but have seen it used with success a number of times.
