I think a template was posted here in these forums.
I'll see if I can find it.

Hi rvrfoot, the only thread I can find on that you already posted on last year.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=685694
It's the actual measurements of the holes is what you need. If you have time I can make a template and send it to you of the drivers door, then just transfer to the passenger when ready. I don't have my door mirror on yet.

Re: 1966 c10 mirror location

Can you send me that as well please?
PO welded all the holes up for my driver side door so I can't copy anything over either.

Thanks,
Dan

There should be a triangular shaped reinforcement with 3 captive nuts spot welded to the inside of your drivers side door where the mirror mounts. Try to use that to recover your holes for the correct location.

I'm sure that repro doors don't, but DLW mentioned that a PO had filled in the holes in his doors.

Re: 1966 c10 mirror location

You might be right about the stock nuts still being there on my truck, although welded over. I will keep that in mind to make a template from inside the door if possible. If this template Rocknrod made is accurate though, it might be nice to have and easy to make more of them. Surprised there is no template out there yet for 64-66. I think we need to find a way to get that template, or another one like it, in PDF that prints in real size so you don't have to physically mail it around.
