LMC Replacement bedsides for shortbed conversion are here!
My short bed is here! I’ve seen some trashing LMC on here but the supplier is triplus, the metal is nice and solid. Few scuffs on the wheel housing but they’re smooth and will be just fine after paint. Also has free freight shipping on orders above $1000. Of I’ll update more as I get through this project. The brothers conversion kit will be here Friday so I’ll get after it sometime next week!

Did you purchase a complete bed kit from LMC? If so, what was the total?
Thanks, Steve |

My only question would be how everything lines up. The front fender wells I got from them did not line up well at all.

Re: LMC Replacement bedsides for shortbed conversion are here!
I am not an LMC fan but the fit is not an LMC problem. they don,t make the parts they just sale them. there are only one or two manufactures that build these parts and they are reverse engineered so they don't fit so well. I bought drip rails from GMC Paul's and they werent even close to being correct and he refunded my money. He told me that only one company made them so I found a damaged cab and drilled out the ones off it. I always try to find OEM sheet Metal.

the total was about $2550 at LMC with free shipping on orders over $1000, the shortbed conversion kit was about $425, and the bed bolt kit from brothers was $70. The only remaining expense (hopefully) is getting the front drive shaft shortened.

It's an easy procedure just take your time.
FYI! The brothers kit is off a 1/2" on the cab mount relocation Move it 12" and not the 11 1/2" the template does.

Re: LMC Replacement bedsides for shortbed conversion are here!
AMD bedsides lined up perfectly, Good luck with the LMC stuff. I dont want to be 'that guy' but I havent had good luck with LMC parts either. GM header panel, NOS GM tailgate, GM cross sills, AMD inner wheel wells in my 68. I'd do it again in a minute. Im not sure theyre not thicker gauge than the GM bedsides. I know theyre heavier.. I've built a bunch of these trucks.

I don't want to be "that guy" either, but if you look on AMD's website, it says their sides are tri-plus, same as the op bought.

Maybe it’s important to everyone to pay AMD $100 more per side and then also pay for freight shipping?

Re: LMC Replacement bedsides for shortbed conversion are here!
Mine were in AMD boxes and picked up from AMD about 4 yrs ago. Who knows who made them man. Who cares really. That's why I said good luck with them. I've just never had good.luck with LMC for anything but I'm hoping he does. They're hit or miss but do a search for LMC panels and compare that to a search for AMD panels. Just saying.

Re: LMC Replacement bedsides for shortbed conversion are here!
I have had issues with some of LMC's products as others have. But...I bought a fleetside header panel from them and it fit like a glove. All of the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Zero issues and was as heavy a gauge as the original.
