Wiw 1968 Oem Driver Fender?

Virtually rust free 1968 Oem fender (according to PO) driver side with lower trim holes. No rust thru and very little surface rust.

A decent rust free OEM 69-72 fender is worth $150 or about the same as what a new repro costs, IMO. I took one that same color the other day and stripped the paint to where it's only OEM paint, primer, or bare to show the quality of the metal...and lack of body work. I'll be asking $150 for that. It's easier to get the good price if a buyer can see just how good it is under the paint. My buddy who sells parts thinks I should ask more for mine.

1968 only fenders are worth more than '69-'72 IMO. Passenger side fenders are worth more though. I paid $600.00 for a NOS R.H. one for my GMC. I bought a straight rust free drivers side for $50.00.

That used price was quite a bargain. Way less than what they are worth, that's for sure. It's true, a '68 Chevy/GMC-'72 fender is worth more than 69-72 Chevys for a few reasons. One is the 67/68 is most desirable Chevy sheet metal and '68 is one year only, they are for GMCs as well, and reproductions are not made right. I have a good as N.O.S. used driver side GMC fender I think I paid $285 for (shipped) and felt I got a great deal. I bought it a good many years ago, too.

Re: Wiw 1968 Oem Driver Fender?

Appreciate the replies guys. According to gold/white it's a 72 fender. Lucky for me because it'll fit my project. Not bad for 60 bones.

You're right, it is a 69-72. I never looked that close at the first picture showing front edge. Just went with description on the year. It's good to keep spare OEM stuff like this, if you plan on having the truck a while.
