Fittings for IAT Sensor and Vacuum Line?
I tried asking this on LS1tech but I guess I don't know the secret password over there to get any responses. I need to get my IAT sensor and a vacuum line hooked up into the air intake I am piecing together on my LS.
I'm eyeballing this to use for both: http://www.siliconeintakes.com/holse...er/-p-500.html I'm hesitant because it says its good up to 3" diameter hose. I am running a 4" (feeding a 102 intake). Has anybody used this on anything larger than 3"? I'm guessing they limit it to 3" dia for sealing issues but wonder how bad it would really be on a 4" silicone section. Does anyone know of anything else that is available? I guess my other option is to have a couple NPT bungs welded onto an aluminum straight section but that would have to be plan B as I would not be able to weld that myself. thanks...

Re: Fittings for IAT Sensor and Vacuum Line?
My guess is the profile of the backing tab is radiused for the 3" pipe. A 4" section would be a more subtle curve, and probably leave some of the tab protruding into the intake.
Are you running a MAF that doesn't have IAT built in? You could consider converting to an MAPT.

I'm wondering if the manufacturer is just erring on the side of caution as to limiting it to 3". I might order one just to see. No MAF. I'm running a speed density tune. thanks

If your running SD on a Gen III, then you should be able to swap the MAP for a TMAP/MAPT

https://www.eficonnection.com/home/product/grommet For the vacuum line, I bought one of these kits at the local parts store a few years back and I've used in on 3 or 4 swaps since then https://www.amazon.com/Spectre-Perfo.../dp/B000BQ090Y |

The vacuum line kit might do the trick though. I think I'll get one on the way and see what I can do with it. From the review it sounds like the hole saws should not be used but everything else is OK. thanks for the tip!

Re: Fittings for IAT Sensor and Vacuum Line?
If it helps you at all, the GM IAT sensors can be interchanged. In other words, you can use the LS1 push in style if you want. I'm not going to say that all of the GM IAT sensors are the same internally, but most are. And in the odd cases, the calibration is easily changed in the tune as there is a table for resistance vs. temp.
