loaded a 9' x 14' shed in the K20
Just got back from Menards. I'm building a storage shed in the back yard to keep the garage clean for 'projects'. So tonight I picked up:
(24) sheets of plywood (45) 8 foot studs (45) 10 foot studs misc 1x4 and 2x8's roll of tar paper (7) bundles of shingles (3) boxes of siding misc siding trim pieces Haven't calculated the exact weight yet, but she was squatting pretty good! Actually got to use 1st gear! I find it hard to believe any of the newer trucks with smaller beds would have been able to take this on - feels good to have a truck that can haul a respectable load...

Great to see! With auxiliary air helper springs (Air Lift is what I use) it could do that without the squat. It seems these trucks will haul anything that fits down the road. Time to post in "Pictures of trucks hauling" thread now.

Glad you can haul all that in one trip and you'll get a nice rebate too!

that ain't heavy try 2 D90 cat blocks the big inline 6 dozier long blocks in the back of my 1965 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive one roller over and bowed out my bed that was trash any ways.Love wood floor beds had over 3500 in the back of my truck running this tire that's why my truck did not have a problem These are some good old trucks from 1964--72.A well maintained old truck will always out last a a new truck But i like the trucks with the chains Never seem to have a problem shutting my tail gate Plus i new it would never open if a 454 motor slammed against it.

Another Iowa member here, not to far away from ya either. Glad to see these old trucks getting used too, I get some looks loading mine up at the lumber yard too and the insurance companies seem to scratch their heads when I tell them I still use it as a pickup, not just a show queen.
