Re: Suburban and panel finds
Someone posted that one before. Yes, I think the VIN indicates it started life as a panel.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
69 K style Burban! $6100. No SPID and poor photos but a good price.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/c...631409148.html 1969 Chevy Suburban 4x4 3/4 ton all original. 4-speed with SM465. Rare barn find and last registered in 1974 and was on Bainbridge Island before I acquired it with the intention of a complete restoration. I have purchased a 1971 GMC K20 that I am going to restore instead and so have decided to sell the suburban. It has been undercover since I acquired it close to eight years ago. The driver side floor pan and rocker has rusted out from door leaking when it was parked outside by the prior owner and also has rust on rear panel behind rear wheels. Have purchased the replacement floor panel and rocker and they just need to be welded in. Also have 40 gallon auxillary tank. Engine is good and runs but will need tune up. $6,100.

$1500 Green 70 Burban!
https://salem.craigslist.org/cto/d/1...632129767.html 2 wheel drive 1970 chevy suburban, good bones, typical chevy rust spots on body...floor pan better than most. Rear barn doors, correct rear seat (came stock as a 2 seat model) interior parts mostly complete, and all glass is there...windshield is cracked, comes with new door seals all around. 350 v8, turbo 350 trans 3.73 gears, runs but needs brake work (has new master cylinder and booster unit). Rare front disk brakes stock, not standard until 1971 models. Needs work but is a solid beginning. Must sell, dont really want to...$1,500 CASH OBO, no trades scams, checks or buyers agents thank you.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
70 Ambulance. Looks the be in great shape $11950.
https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...634403352.html 1970 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance in my opinion it has very minimal rust, it has surface rust spots, I started to clean them off and stopped. it runs good, the 350 engine and Th-350 work as they should, the tires are in decent condition. I have only washed it, a good detail and it would clean up nice. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere, from what I can tell the previous owner drove it close to 10,000 miles, using it as his transportation. This is a good running and driving 1970 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance, it has minimal rust in my opinion it has had a fair amount of mechanical work done to it in the last 1 1/2 years with invoices from the local repair shops Transmission service (tigard transmission) $140.00 tune up and service, clean fuel system, minor tune and full service & lube 10-03-2016 bonds automotive $611.32 dimmer switch and electrical work B&G motors $130.00 2 batteries $90.00 O/H carburetor and parts (tune-up & carburetor shop) $403.82 There is a bill of sale from the Naselle fire department to the Grays river fire dept dated November 10 1983 The side trim is rough and it will need some TLC to bring it to the next level, the spot lights all work.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
My Canadian find, 1970 4x4. 40,000 miles. Needs some tlc affectionately named Stanley. 4 speed 350v8. I’m currently in the Middle East. Will be driving it from Edmonton to Seattle in September. Paper work was straight forward but I hear the border crossing can be a challenge. Will see!
My goal is a travel/hunting rig. Gonna follow the Dino build that four wheeler magazine is doing. Last edited by Malala; 07-10-2018 at 02:02 PM. Reason: More info. |

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Welcome aboard. Looks like a good truck. How about some more details and pictures are always encouraged. Any problems bringing it cross the border? 6 or 8? 4 speed?

Yes its a 1970 GMC suburban with a Cummings 6bt. The drivetrain was pulled from a 1991 Dodge ram and put into this 1970 suburban. It runs great but does need some work on the fuel system. 15000 OBO. Last edited by mcmlxix; 07-11-2018 at 02:03 AM. |

69 K20 and most of a C20 north of the border. The exchange rate might make it worth it...

Re: Suburban and panel finds
took me a couple of days to make up my mind to pass and share it with y'all..
very nice seller, up front about some things not easy to see in pictures and kind enough to take picture of spid and send to me.. sure he'll send to you too if you ask.. no mysteries, he disclosed everything during our discussion before I told him what was in the numbers on the decal.. it is a kind of resto-mod he did with family in the 90's, so it's held up in this configuration for quite some time.. if this had rolled out of the factory like it sits, would be in my driveway.. good luck! https://chico.craigslist.org/cto/d/1...664011530.html
