My truck came with a I-6 and 350 turbo tranny. I recently installed a 350 with a 700r4 tranny. I also lowered my truck 5 inches with shackles and hanger kit. I went to install my drive shaft and it is about two inches to long. Did I do something wrong or should I get a different drive shaft?

When I swapped my 350 trans for the 700r4 I had to shorten the driveshaft about 2 or 3 inches.Brought it to a shop to shorten and balance it.

Just did the same for my Burb , it costed me for about 200€ ( 240 US$ )...

When I lowered my 78 with a 4/6 drop I had to shorten my driveline 1". It only costed me 65 dollars to have it cut welded and balanced. lowering and raising a trucks effects the angle of the driveshaft.
