Parts To Carlisle

Carlisle Truck Nationals are coming up in a couple weeks, Aug. 3-5. I'm going and I have a space to sell parts. I figured I'd post up some things I'll, and others as well, will be bringing that shipping either kills due to size or weight, are delicate, or hard to package. Someone usually posts a thread for others to list parts they'll be bringing, so let this be that thread. I guess those going to hunt could also post what they are looking for.

I'll start with OEM glass. Great condition, no Soft Ray. I have Truck/K5 and Suburban door windows, Large & small back windows, Suburban hatch, quarter windows, and wing vent glass. I did a WIW thread but didn't come up with anything. I'm thinking $20-back glass, $30pr-door, $50pr-quarter windows, $30-Suburban hatch, and $10-wing vent

I have heavy things like bellhousings, steering boxes, driveshafts, transmissions, transfer cases... OEM hard parts.

Re: Parts To Carlisle

Do people buy glass? I have good door windows for trucks and Suburban, wing vent glass as well as back glass big and small for truck, quarter and hatch windows for Suburban. I may have the second set of side windows, too. I'd take pictures but not much to show.

Another hard to ship thing I have is Suburban side trim (under windows). The driver side piece is a mile long!

Re: Parts To Carlisle

I might consider buying some. I currently have Soft-Ray but I need to polish out a lot of scratches. May be easier to just buy something nicer. Am I willing to give up Soft-Ray? I dunno.

Re: Parts To Carlisle

I may have all the upper. You'll have to look and see if it'll match the condition you need.

Do you have "factory truck exhaust manifolds" for a 1970 350 4x4? If so I would like to get together about this.

Re: Parts To Carlisle

Ok, so match it to your condition not the truck's. I like that man and his machine approach

I do have some center dumps but I think they are the early type with accessory mounts cast in.

Re: Parts To Carlisle

There were two types of exhaust manifolds, one for 4wds and one for 2wds. This is because 4wd engines are mounted further back in the frame than 2wds. The difference between manifolds is due to engine cross member clearance. "Dump" is a term used for exhaust, probably beginning with open headers meaning where exhaust exits... outlet. I guess both actually "dump" in the same place, but 2wd manifolds curve back at an angle and 4wd shoot straight down dead center. The pair on the right are the early 4wd pair w/ac, the closest one in the middle is a later 4wd one and the farther one is later 2wd, and so is the one on left.

Looking at my post I can see how you got there. I rather 'seamlessly' went from trim to exhaust manifolds.

I see parts pictures as works of art

Hi Tim, I just need the manifolds that are plain, no emissions, no accessories, straight dump for my 1970 K10. I will take even just one if that is all you have. --George

Re: Parts To Carlisle

I'm still loading. Trailer is about done and it's time to load the truck. I'm bringing my white '95 Suburban. I was planning on doing this load with that and returning for my '72 to bring more. I never got the racks off/cap on and I'm not up to much more loading/unloading with these healing ribs. I decided to leave a lot of heavy things like Transfer cases, 4spds, steering boxes, and other large things I shouldn't handle right now. I'm being very 'artful' with handling what I have been so far. I started early to take it slow.

I tied it on the roof with twine. I didn't want it bouncing around with the other parts.
