Original 29k survivor 1972 Blazer spotted!
I found a couple pictures on Facebook last night of this time capsule! I spoke with the seller this morning and it was already sold but, it was a one family owned truck since new and only had 29,000 miles on it! Unbelievable...

The guy who sold it wasn't willing to share that figure. I was hoping that someone in this forum community bought it and was willing to share more details. I really hope that the new owner comes forward to share this piece of automotive history. They're only original once!

I believe that’s the blazer from Lincoln, Ne. I just purchased mine 2 days before this one was posted or I would of bought it. Here’s mine.

If that’s the one from Lincoln, it was right around $19k.

You are correct about that being the Blazer from Lincoln. Do you recall how much he was asking for it? I looks like you scored a pretty damn nice Blazer too!

Nestevec,
Can you post the specs on your Blazer. Lift and Tires? It has a pretty nice stance. I am getting ready to lower my blazer. Right now it is on 35's.

Re: Original 29k survivor 1972 Blazer spotted!
The bronze survivor was posted to the Craigslist thread when it was on the market in I believe Colorado. The asking price escapes me but I recall it being in the low to mid 20s. It lacks a rear seat: note the spare tire mount right behind the driver seat.

Re: Original 29k survivor 1972 Blazer spotted!
My brother and I looked at that Blazer awhile back. We were disappointed. The guy really talked it up. He was a dealer. The floor was rusted thru pretty good back by the tailgate area and he did not disclose it before we traveled 3 hours to look at it. We specifically asked him about that area of the truck before we went. I think there were other rust issues as well, I just don't remember them now. Nestevec, did you go look at it ?
Now I remember, the kick panels were also rusted out and poorly repaired. Last edited by 72ironmike; 07-24-2018 at 11:29 PM. |

Wow! I spoke to the guy and he told me it was from his family and bought new. Sad to hear that it wasn't as nice as represented.

I did not, but I do remember the ad saying it had normal rust issues. Must of been pretty bad.
