What spindles to install ????? HELP !!!

I have a 66 c10 with a disc brake conversion installed by PO, I am wanting to install drop spindles, most of the drop spindles require converting to 71-72 disc brakes or EQUIVALENT. My rotors are 1 1/4 thick , are they ''equivalent'', Will these fit my truck ? I don't want to just start throwing parts at this truck.
THANKS

Re: What spindles to install ????? HELP !!!

I would go with spindles from the same company your disc brake kit is from to ensure compatability.

Re: What spindles to install ????? HELP !!!

All the 71-72 discs are 1 1/4.
The square body 73-87 HD brakes are 1 1/4.
Tie rod end and ball joint tapers aren't the same between 71/72 and 73+.
Figure out what year range spindles you have now, and go from there.

Some of the 81-87 trucks had light duty 1" rotors.
These rotors requires different spindles, bearings and calipers.

But I agree,... find what you have now via the balljoints and outer tie rods.
(specifically the upper balljoint or outer tie rods,... since the lower balljoints are the same on 71-72 and 73-87 trucks)
