We carry and stock the original gauge tailgates. You'll find them here on our web site

Does that mean I can sit on the gate without it bowing? If so the price You are asking on the gate is as good as buying an old gate and trying to make it strait for painting.

The new tiwan tailgates most of the dealers carry are of similar gauge and weight as the original---however I am not sure they are of the same metal alloy. I do know that they are not spot welded through the center which strengthens the tailgate so they are not as strong as originals.
