Re: Spare tire in bed or under bed?

I ended up putting the spare behind the wheel tub on the driver's side. No matter where I would have put it, the camper shell blocks visibility, anyway.

Good point about the blind spot. And the balance was the reason I considered putting it on the passenger's side.

Mike.
Thanks for the pic, Mike! That bed looks very clean.

Do you happen to have a pic of the tire mounting hardware? I'd like to fab up something that looks as original as possible. TIA

I don't exactly know where it is!
The truck also has the under the bed spare tire hanger,so I don't use the one in the bed. So,I took the bolt and parts out and put them somewhere in my shop.
There is a thread here just on the correct hardware if you search for it.
Or maybe someone will bring it back up for you.
Mike.

Post up some pics of your setup if you get a chance. I'd like to see how you built yours!

It's a truck! Are you really worried about weight transfer at the drag strip? OK, sorry, it's been quite the day here at the SteeveeDee homestead. I just needed to let off a joke.
