1973 Blazer Frame Question

New to the Squarebody family.
Just bought a 1973 4wd Blazer. I am going to swap to 2wd. I have a 1978 SWB that I want to clip from the seat forward and graft to the 73 frame. PO hacked up the frame with triple shock mounts and more. Anybody have info on the frame swap idea. I think it will fit. I am going to swap all the rear end hardware to the 2wd also.

Re: 1973 Blazer Frame Question

I found a 2wd donor instead. Good frame, good top decent factory buckets and rear bench.

Re: 1973 Blazer Frame Question

I was going to say that you can use the front off the 2wd truck and bolt it on the 4X frame. The frames are pretty much the same the biggest difference is that the holes aren't in the frame for the 4X for the 2X crossmember and the rear spring hangers are longer.

While this is a factory 2X the frame was messed up and the frame I found to replace it was a 4X..
