I have the original 12-bolt from my 77. I replaced it with a later model 8.625" 10-bolt since I needed the truck to roll around during the build and the 10-bolt will be better suited to what I'll be doing with the truck (drag racing).

The rear end drove fine, but made whining noise from the gears. I've never disassembled it so we can assume it needs a full rebuild. Brakes are included and are in great shape, and there are shock extender brackets on it as well. Located in Ventura, CA. I need this gone quite soon so if you're interested, let me know!

very nice of you to offer this up here. If I was anywhere near Ventura, I would grab it. I usually only make it as fare as the Pomona swap though

I don't think these are too too hard to come by luckily. But since I really needed to clean things up, when the metal recycler came late last week I let him take it.

They aren't too hard to come by. It is just junkyards charge $150 for a complete and then you have to pull it yourself. Nice for one to already be out and be free!
