Thumbs down Got ripped off

Well guys, I dropped my gaurd for a bit, and got ripped off. I normally would have picked up on it and, Don't know why I did this time. But the facts of the matter are, that I got burned! What was the price for getting screwed? $237.50 Yep. I've turned it in to Western Union and hopefully I'll get my money back. But I will NEVER AGAIN deal with anyone that is not a known member here in good standing. I have done several transactions with various people here and, I guess that's why I didn't think anything about it. What was the ash-hole's name that burned me? James Quazada. Of course, a person could have any name as the contact. Main thing is, like I said, NEVER do business with ANYONE that's not a member here in good standing. I never will again. So, to all you scammers out there, I hope your legs grow together!!

Re: Got ripped off

That happened to me once. It upset me to no end. His mistake was he actually had a business in Indianapolis. After the DA and the courts got through with him it was a pleasure to see justice done.

As part of what Western Union said I had to do to have any chance of getting my money refunded by them, was to make a report with local police. I did that and cops told me it was a civil matter. Well, to do that I'd have to first, find the WPOS and then, go thru all the process. If I were to find this person, well, let's just say he'd be very sorry he did what he did. No, that's not a threat, that's a forking PROMISE!!!

Re: Got ripped off

BS it's a civil matter! That wasn't your friend, someone you knew. It is theft and there are laws against it that the police are hired to enforce, not sit at a desk and turn matters away. In fact, it's interstate theft which is worse. Maybe we wouldn't want to kick people's asses if it meant a bunch of paperwork (fortunately not!)

I completely agree with you! This is the kind of thing that leads to people being seriously hurt or killed!! I myself wouldn't kill someone over this, but there are people that would. I would however, kick someones butt over it though.

Re: Got ripped off

'65, try this link. You can do an online report. I won't get in the middle of whether the officer was right or wrong in not doing a report. However, since it was an internet scam, you can do this report. https://police.fortworthtexas.gov/On...-police-report

Honestly though, I won't be surprised if the crime doesn't get investigated. We get lots of these, where I work, and unfortunately, they take a lot of time to investigate. Also, like in this case, they cross state lines, which muddies the waters even more.

The cops aren't going to investigate this at all. The cop that came for the report acted like a di(k about it. I explained that I was only doing what Western Union said I needed to do, but he was still an azz. I kinda agree about that, but I was just trying to get my money back.

Re: Got ripped off

I understand and hear what you are saying. If you do an online report, it most likely will not get investigated, but it may help you get your money back from Western Union.

Western Union has already closed the case. They told me "The money was picked up by the person that you sent it to" I told them that this azzhole ripped me off by not giving me the merchandise that was paid for. They told me that was "not their problem"...the only thing they could or, would tell me is that the money was picked up in Van Nuys, California. But you know, Karma can be a real Beotch so, look out azzhole, you will get yours one of these days. Maybe sooner than you know!

Re: Got ripped off

Sorry you were taken. Unfortunately, Western Union has been used in a lot of scams in the recent past. If anyone ever says to use them as a way to transfer funds or pay for a item, run far, and fast.

Thanks, Ricky. Like I said in earlier posts, I won't be doing business with anyone thats not a known member in good standing with a high post count. Of course, I guess a person could still be ripped off, but it should take the risk way, way down. If I had the time and money, I'd try to track this person down. But I don't. Karma WILL get this WPOS one of these days!

Update because I was asked by a member to re review this thread.

The users name was scott003. He was removed for being a spammer as soon as it was caught by a staff member. I typically do not copy and paste mod actions. However, I am here.

Re: Got ripped off

Alrighty , here is the deal, I did not refuse to give him is money back, this is the story , I was speaking to 2 other people in ref to the doors. I had 2 yellows and one red, the red one was the better one. the conversations had pictures of all three doors.. He chimed in said he wanted both yellow doors and he was going to be in town and would come by and get them. We never discussed shipping. He was coming here. He paid paypal on 4/6/2018, He decided to send shipper to get them. He then wanted us to give him a partial refund, since it was not what he wanted. I told him no to the refund because I had other buyers for the doors. Then he wanted us to pay shipping back and refund money before we got the doors back. I again said no, I would gladly refund the money and he would have to ship them back because shipping was not part of the deal. He opened a claim on paypal on 5/25 and paypal told him when they received confirmation of item shipped they would refund his money. He did not ship therefore did not get a refund. Paypal sited in our favor on 8/10/2018. He also said he would take us to court we asked for his attorney name and ours would get in touch , that didn't happen either. Again there were several pictures of the doors and he could have asked for more.
