Ask and ye shall receive!

Looks like he’s gone about 650 miles today.

Here are two pics - overall and a zoom in on today. Passing by any of you?

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

He will be within 60 miles of me if he stays on 44 through Missouri, which I suspect he will. I am just south of Jefferson City, looks like he's in Springfield now.

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

I have a feeling he’s done for the day. If so, he’s just outside of Indianapolis.

It’s only about 500 for the day / perhaps he made a drop along the way.

Does the driver know you are tracking? Not that it matters either way, I’m just curious what his thoughts are about it if he’s aware.

He’s set to arrive tomorrow, a day early, so I’ll ask him how he feels about being tracked.

Counting down!!

Just seeing the thread, ...cool stuff.
Gives me something to think about when I prepare my shipment from Nevada... : )

Congrats on the truck

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

And like that the journey ended. We met up in Carteret, NJ and I then drove it out to Long Island.

Thankfully the truck runs like a champ so we made it in record time - 55 miles in three and a half hours. Damn NY traffic screwed us. But it was worth it. ;-)

Here’s a screen shot of its last day of tracking as well a a pic just before it rolled off the rig.

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

wow, 55 miles in 3 1/2 hours I can't imagine that. I grumble when I have to wait 4/5 minutes for a train to pass.

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

Excellent, all in one piece and ahead of schedule.. I hope you continue to post more about your truck. Like someone else has already mentioned , I think it was Grumpy, if a truck driver works for a fairly large company, they are all being tracked these days. My dad drove a rig for a short period of time and they know the speed and location of the truck at all times. Thats the way it was with Schneider anyways.

Glad to see you got your truck. And it made the maiden voyage to it's new home. Enjoy. Been fun watching it go across U.S. Have fun with it.

When he stopped at Indy he was 70 miles from me. If I knew it was an open carrier I would have went down and took a pic for you.

Re: Tracking my C10 across the US

Washed it.

Took the kids out for a spin.

Wife digs it.

About the truck, it’s in great shape. No rust. A few dings. A broken headlight. The bench has been redone (I’ll post pix tomorrow) and it slides well, but the passenger side doesn’t lock in place (ideas what may be wrong?).

Exhaust sounds great but got the feeling my neighbors will get sick of it so I’ll take it easy when coming and going.

Oh how I wish I had more than a single car garage.

seat just isn’t locking in place see if the wire going across is present and or sprung to tight as far as the exhaust i have the same issue although i get a lot of thumbs up and keep it quiet and slow down on the way in and out ....have fun
