72 GMC 3/4 Ton For Sale $650.00

PRICE LOWERED TO $650.00!!!!

I have a 72 3/4 ton GMC LWB truck that is located in Tulsa, OK that I need to sell.

Bad Things:

1. Needs Paint and minor body work
2. Motor runs but has cracked block (check out good things though)

Good Things:

1. Good power brakes as they were redone by the previous owner.
2. Power steering that is awesome!
3. Cab and doors are excellent with very little repair to be done on them. The rust that I have seen was in one of the rocker panels.
4. The clutch, pressure plate, etc has been replaced and the flywheel has been resurfaced.
5. I am including another motor that was in my 70 truck that was rebuilt and has about 30,000 on the rebuild. You can use the bottom end from this motor and the rest from the motor in the truck and drive the truck anywhere.
The motor from my 70 did not use oil.
6. The interior needs little work as it was taken care of. It comes with a nice set of black (3) seatbelts. The door panels are in great condition.
7. Truck has heavy duty springs w/helpers.
8. The grille is nice
9. It has a heavy duty bumper guard
10. The body needs very little work to get ready to paint.
11. Good tires 80%

Specs:

1. 250 inline 6 cyl
2. 4-speed w/granny tranny
3. Power Disc Brakes
4. Power Steering.

Price: $650.00

This is a great deal for someone who needs a hauler or reliable driver or for the many good parts on it.

I do not have any pictures of it as it is in Tulsa, OK but will try to get a friend of mine there to take some for me.

Thanks for looking!

Ernie

I need to sell it as I am buying another project truck and need to generate some $$$. I am willing to work something out with you if you don't have all the cash. It is at a mechanics house in Tulsa and will be secure there until it is picked up. It has a clean OK title. The truck is excellent mechanically and needs nothing except switching the bottom end out with the good bottom end of the engine I am including with the truck. I commuted to Dallas in my 70 truck with this engine and put about 20,000 miles on it with no problems and no oil loss. If you switch the engine out you will have a great running hauler that will need nothing else mechanically. The body is in good condition with very few dents or rust. It don't look pretty though as the truck is partly green and there is white on it and,oh yeah, it has a very nice blue GMC tailgate (its worth $200.00). The interior is black and is nice. The bed floor has some dent issues but is solid. My friend fixed the truck mechanically and used it to move from Seattle, Wa to Tulsa, OK and had no problems. Then drove it hauling trucks and such until the tired motor ran too low on oil and the block cracked. We were hauling some parts of mine from Tyler to here and the motor started making noise as it was severly low on oil so we added oil and noticed that the block was cracked. We then patched it with marine epoxy and proceeded to the house, unloaded my parts and then he drove it on to Tulsa. The old girl is pretty stout. It still runs by the way and can be driven onto a trailer as is. Would just take a quart of oil to do it! LOL! It is too good of a truck to part out.

Just let me know if you want to work something out on it. Also, you are welcome to come out here to install the motor since it is here at the farm. We could do this in an afternoon if you brought a couple of six packs! I have some alcoholic neighbors who are mechanics that would be willing to help.

The truck does not have air or an air cab. It does have the lower trim. The trim is pretty beat up but there is a board member who has a complete set in good condition that you could do some swapping with or buy for $50.00 or just fill in the trim and go with the smooth look. As for it being the right decision for you I do not know. It is nice pulling a trailer with a 3/4 ton vs a 1/2 ton. This truck needs no work mechanically except for the motor. The power steering is awesome as are the power disc brakes when you have to stop with a car hauler with a 5000 lb truck on it. And the tires are good! Have I sold you on it yet! LOL!!! Just let me know.

Take care,

Ernie

I have quite a few tire kickers and trade offers but I really need the cash. I am not going to take an offer lower than $750.00. It has all the good parts on it that I could part it out for that or more but I would really hate to. Just let me know. The truck is safe and can sit there for some time if you need time to pick it up.

It is yours if you want it just let me know ASAP. Randy knows someone that may want it but he is not buying it. You are first in line. It is a good truck.
