Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Not a dumb question at all. I was going to run the wires through that piece but I found if I drilled a new hole and ran the wires across the radiator support all the wires would be hidden behind the hood latch panel. I did end up running a couple of ground wire through there.

Yes it was, I guess what seems funny to me, may not to others. You do great work and are always coming up with new ways to get things done, and keep them clean looking...Jim

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Well I’m finally getting this thing to look like a something. I got the complete dog house install, along with the headlights and turn signals, and an engine cover (I think it’s temporary until I have time to fab something). I also started wet sanding the fenders.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Really nice Bam, I love the color in combination with chrome.
Do you happen to have an overall shot, with the box on it yet? I’m curious about that...

If you like the combination now it should look much better after I finish color sanding that is with 1000 grit taking away the shine. Last edited by BAM55; 12-10-2018 at 04:02 PM. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Don't be jealous (well the truck is green.lol) get to work and get even. The headlights are 7 Inch H4 Fluted Headlights with clear turn signals with a amber bulb. I got them from Speedway Motor but I seen them for sale at other places.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
The wifey said the truck was way too loud.lol She will be in it with me and I want her comfortable so I had to compromise. I installed new mufflers. The were cheap but got good reviews. So for the price I tried them. They are Jones Exhaust Max Air Flows.
Heres what the truck sounds like now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmnrz3v1YTs Last edited by BAM55; 12-10-2018 at 06:30 PM. |

Bam, the engine compartment is nice and clean, looks super, even with the stock cover. New mufflers sound good...Jim

They also have another one at Lowes in Hawthrone every other Sunday at 1 pm. Just some place to go once you get the truck running or even if you don't have it running you can go look at some rides. Thanks Kim Last edited by BAM55; 12-11-2018 at 04:30 PM. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I believe in having working parking brakes but I wanted a electric parking brake, but I was not willing to pay 400 bucks for one so I fabricated my own.
I have this wired when the parking brake is on the little (P) stays lit. It works pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8helOr-WoE Last edited by BAM55; 12-24-2018 at 02:03 AM. |
