Turbos just came in after several months. Worst customer service ever... precision now has mirror image turbos but only ball bearing. Several k a piece....

Your better off not getting anything from Precision. I'm my experience, their turbos don't stay together and they don't stand behind their product.

I’ve heard of a couple failures from pte as well. Were you past warranty? I ordered these back in November. Requested tracking, didn’t hear back until a month later. They sent unpolished turbos. At that point I already blew a head gasket. Had fa man order them in January and barely got them last week. Took three months to get my refund back.. I had no other choice as I want the symmetry. Hopefully these don’t go bad because having to deal with nre for warranty issues will be torture.

The first one failed after 4 miles. They claimed something went through the exhaust wheel and refused to warranty it. The replacement lasted a few months before the exhaust wheel failed again. They claimed the same thing happened and refused to warranty it as well. The exhaust wheel appeared to have melted so I had some independent testing done. PTE claimed the wheel was inconel, but my tests showed it was not. I switched to Turbonetics and solved my problems.

Dang... a lot of money wasted sorry to hear. Pte did excellent marketing wise. Nelson’s are made by turbonetics 🙌🏻

You seem to have some GREAT Ideas that you certainly show in what you have so far, so youre not lacking for any talent there. With a little bookwork and videos and tools you can do all this stuff yourself man!

I've seen this snobbish viewpoint that it's somehow nobler to endure the suffering, tribulations and skinned knuckles of an entire build yourself. Well screw that. And the level of craftsmanship that I see on this truck is virtually impossible to achieve a homebuilder's garage.

Very well stated sir, the comment ircked me, I’ve seen plenty of videos on YouTube of open heart surgery. I have two hands , I can perform open heart now... another thing, I love paying boat loads of money for someone to do it. There is absolutely no possible way I could build something that comes even somewhat near close to what my vision is... I just can’t

It's fashionable nowadays for newbies to brag about "built, not bought." That's fine for those who build ONE TRUCK maybe, but REAL builders never demean those who buy trucks or those who pay to have them built. Those of us who have built lots of project cars depend on those buyers to purchase our last project so we can finance our next project.

lots of ways to get what you want! I will never disrespect someone who honestly looks at his expectations and his limitations. truth be told most guys who start their own never finish, they hit the first snag and sell sell sell. this thread had a big snag and kept moving.

on the flip side its not easy to build for customers, I turn down potential customers because the finish line is usually made of rubber bands!
