That looks good Jeff. Would you be willing to part with that small heater only control panel and knob?

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent
Sorry Been away for a while
Aggie91. I happened to give the panel, switch and cable away to another member of the board. Sorry, would have been happy to part with it. roll_the_dice. The install was a breeze. Jim provides a template to cut out the dash around the ashtray. The only issue I had was that the side vents are for the larger hoses (defroster size) while my aftermarket AC (OldAir Products) had the small hoses. I just made a little adapter from a pvc fitting, epoxied it to the side vents and connected the smaller hoses to that. All in all it was a breeze. The hardest part was painting.....and that was due to my lack of skills |

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent
I live in Myrtle Beach and it gets pretty hot in the summer. I have an aftermarket AC and I also put sound deadener and jute under the new carpet, installed a new firewall pad and sealed every hole in the firewall (including the side vents. It gets super cold in there in short order.

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent
Jim will have to answer, I believe it is epoxy resin but not for sure.
The guy Jim recommended did mine and just asked if it was new material or not.

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent
My 1964 through 1966 AC vent kit comes with a template to cut the dashboard correctly like the factory. Also some recommendations on what color to use if you want it to look Factory stock. And it comes with a company that I highly recommend to get your vent balls chromed. The whole kit is $355.61 priority mail shipped to your door. That price include shipping if you're in the USA.

Just So I get this right, the nozzles aren't chromed when the assembly is ordered? So, I have to disassemble them and have it done myself?

Re: 1964-1966 center a/c vent
Jim gives you a couple of companies that will do the chroming, there are a few different ways to accomplish the factory look.
Jim used to chrome them, however costs and delays on the chrome companies was putting him in a huge bind. Chroming anything isn’t cheap, especially for a quality job.

It would be easiest if you shoot me a text message then I can take detailed pictures for you it's too hard to load pictures here. Very time-consuming.

Same guy did this video on the application of chrome paint. Vents would have challenges but I might try.
