WTB: Front Sway Bar and Spring Plates for 4x4 Square

Looking for a front sway bar and the Dana 44 spring plates that it mounts to. Spring plates must be from a 73-78 K5 or K10 with a 2.75" OD axle tube. Need for a swap into a 1st gen K5. Shipping would be to 02767. Thanks

Re: WTB: Front Sway Bar and Spring Plates for 4x4 Square

I believe I have both, will check. I'm not sure but I believe there may be different spring plates for early versus late on the dana 44. Earlier Dana 44's had a smaller axle tube, perhaps 2-3/4" versus the later 44 and 10 bolt with, I believe 3" tube. Can you confirm?

BTW, bought a Cadillac in spring from Mastria

Small world! I live about 3 minutes from Mastria.

I believe the early dana 44 with 2.75" axle tubes was from 67-78. I'll measure my axle tubes and the bolt hole centerline on the spring plates themselves tonight. I guess the earlier the better.

Put my eyes on a sway bar and a drivers side spring top plate yesterday.

Re: WTB: Front Sway Bar and Spring Plates for 4x4 Square

My axle tubes are definitely 2.75" OD. The center to center dimension on the u-bolt appears to be around 3.44". It's hard get a good measurement on this when the plate isn't loose. If the u-bolt is 5/8" diameter this would make sense. I'm guessing that a spring plate for 3" axle is closer to 3.625" center to center. Let me know what you have.

Thanks, Chris

Any chance you found a passenger side plate? Do they match up with the dimensions I posted?

Looks like your plates are for a 3" axle. Thanks for looking into that for me.

I'll revise my search to plates from a 73-78 K5 or K10!

I have sold a hundred of these and the square body spring plates work fine with the 2.75" axle tubes. If you are worried about fitment, it is not tough to slot each hole 1/8" to make up the difference. My 2 cents worth.
