Re: Calling all vintage air/classic auto air owners
The Big difference between the two is Vintage air manufacturers all their own parts and Classic air sub contracts some of their parts...
The issue with the latter is they are at the mercy of the sub contractor AND those sub contractors change with contracts... Old Air is primarily made up of other companies parts... I am running Vintage Air...

Re: Calling all vintage air/classic auto air owners
Thanks for the good discussion brings out good pics and pros/cons. Looks like I’ll be ordering vintage air. My price through jegs is 1390. If any vendors here can get close to that I’d much rather support a small business shoot me an email.

Re: Calling all vintage air/classic auto air owners
They smaller vents come with the non AC kit but you can order the factory looking ones. The non factory kit doesn't come with the dryer, pump, condenser, vents, basically replacing what's on the firewall. So you will need all that, don't buy the cheaper kit. Make sure if you truck never had AC, you need to order the pulleys and belts to match your engine.

Re: Calling all vintage air/classic auto air owners
Thanks for all the responses on this.
I myself am still confused, part # 941170 ( non a/c ) and part # 941171 ( W/fac air ) is the same price so what is the difference ? I have a non a/c truck p0508, matt on the for sale page for sponsors of this site offers a better price then you can find anywhere else. |

I made the mistake of initially trying to order a "factory a/c" kit, because I was going to change my dash over to look like it came from the factory. That is when the folks at V/A educated me on the firewall difference. Best of luck!! |
