6.0 LS in 69 headders help!
We got the motor and tranny mocked up in the frame of my money pit. now my next problem is the factory manifolds will not clear ... Dose anyone have any suggestions of where to turn to? I am wanting to get something ceramic coated as well. I am running a gen IV 6.0 mated to a nv4500 along with the old np205 transfer case..

Re: 6.0 LS in 69 headders help!
if yours has a z bar its gonna be difficult to fit a header around it....been there done that....id look for the ls3 or tbs manifolds

These fit great in my swap using cpp engine stands and slider Ls brackets. As far as clearing a z bar. No idea I went hydraulic. I can send you some pics and measurements of clearances. Let me know. |

Re: 6.0 LS in 69 headders help!
I ran into the same problem, I had to use some block huggers for the exhaust manifolds to clear everything.
I used some block huggers from speed engineering and they bolted right up.. ls 6.0 to sm465 with mechanical linkage and all. |

Re: 6.0 LS in 69 headders help!
Plus 1 on the Speed Engineering headers. Got them on my 67 with a 6.0. Just mocked up for now so can’t vouch for their durability but they look really good and fit well. But, I have a 4L80 so not sure how they would play with a z-bar.
