I could only look at 3 pages. Amazing as many are in great shape. So I better stop calling mine a "survivor", more like a Rolling Wreck.

Thanks for posting photos. Longbed 3/4 ton stepsides remind us of how pickup trucks used to look like, a look that has practically disappeared from the landscape, IMO, it makes them more special in modern times.

I was looking at the tittle today . It's a 68 with 68k miles and the last 3 digits of the vin is 068.
Wife is always talking about how the universe works everything out. Going to try for a plate that says 68.

Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

Here's my '69 K20. Bought it with 34,800 miles. Its a work truck, so not many options, all original except the seat cover and they added a brake booster. It had the stock spiral shocks on it. It was a fire truck/maintenance truck, so saw a lot of use for the low miles.

Interior and spid. I have since painted the front bumper and mirrors white, and added white 16x7 wheels.

Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

This one deserves to be in this time capsule thread ( not mine ). https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-GMC-25...kAAOSwMetdcW4r These items just aren't seen on your typical daily driver: original cloth seats, original steering wheels and original GMC hubcaps in mint condition.

Seems like that has been posted before. I noticed it is missing the rosette rivets on the VIN tag..

I've often thought that a utility bed would work real well for camping, having all of the cabinets on the outside of the truck for storing your camping gear.

By the way this is an old picture I saved from a truck that I saw for sale years ago so don't blow John's phone up!

That's a Wyoming truck for sure. There's still a few around, I see some in my travels up there.

IMO, this GMC is much more than an anything goes craigslist find, which is why Jocko created the time capsule thread. IMO, a time capsule is the condition of a truck in its prime, the way most looked in the late 60's to early 70's. When upholstery still looked new, original paint still had a luster and bright work was still shiny. As Joesjunk and other contributors have shown, some pickups still look in their prime in the 21st century. Understandably, not a high percentage will fall into this time capsule category.
