got the new seats in!

well i wanted to change the bench seat out in the 65 with a set of buckets with a armrest/center console. there out of a silverado truck. the center is a armrest and does flip up for a small jump seat. I had them refoamed and stiched with a light blue thread. they are tight in there but they are easier for me to get in and out of and much more comfortable and safe with built in seat belts... heres a few pics... as always, thanks goes to this forum!

Looks good...I am sure they are more comfortable also. Any pics of your old bench seat for comparison?

Re: got the new seats in!

i believe they were out of a 2004 silverado... the old bench was in pretty good shape just not much support, and no seatbelts or center console...

heres the old bench.

I understand the support aspect! If you decide to get rid of your bench seat let me know...I may be interested and only a few hours away.

Re: got the new seats in!

Those seats look good in the truck. How much did it cost to get the seats recovered?

Re: got the new seats in!

Cool swap man! I have a set from a 99 sierra to go into my 63 so its nice to see they fit so well, I also have an 04 yukon xl and the front seats are almost identical to the 99 except it has full console not the jump seat like yours and my 99.

Re: got the new seats in!

Great looking seat installation!

Did you lose much in the way of headroom or legroom? I'd like the extra comfort, but at 6' 2" I'm concerned about fit.

Thanks!

Re: got the new seats in!

yeah i was concerned about room as well. im 6'3"... but to me it seems about the same as the bench seat as far as dash to seat room, but its easier for me to get in and out of the drivers seat i guess because its contoured more in the seat i can get under the steering wheel better... i havent done any long distance ride in it and may feel a little different after one but we will see...
